Forte e gentile, “strong and kind” is the motto of Abruzzo region located in central Italy on the Adriatic coast, As the region it’s named after, Abruzzo typeface is strong yet inviting with its sharp angular serifs and smooth transitions, Abruzzo is a display typeface with high contrast, large x-height and plenty of character, Abruzzo is equipped several OpenType features: Standard ligatures that take care of the collisions between f and other tall lowercase characters, and for more fun there is over 40 Discretionary ligatures including st, ch and plenty of more unconventional character combinations, such as fy, fr, rw, vi, and so on
