Introducing Spry Roman. To create the initial lettering for Spry I started with the same kind of pens used for calligraphed wedding invitations.

In this case 1 Zebra G nib and ink. Thick and thin strokes are determined by pressure when using a pointed pen nib.

Using slightly toothy paper when writing adds a bit of texture to the writing. I tried to retain this texture in Spry Roman’s glyphs.
