Melodia Font is a hand-drawn serifed face with a handful of alternates.

There are 3 glyph drawings for each uppercase letter, 3 more for each lowercase, and 2 for the numerals. There are even alternates for punctuation, go figure: there are 3 commas and 3 periods.

To activate the automatic cycling of all these alternates, simply turn on the Contextual Alternates feature in your application.

Especially suited for cool stuff.

Archive Garamond Italic Pro Font is a typeface roughly based on the designs of Claude Garamond (ca. 1480 – 1561), a French publisher and a leading typeface designer of that period.

While the majority of contemporary digital interpretations of the “Garamond types” are cleaner and more polished versions of that genre, Archive Garamond tries to keep the rough nature that was typical in the early days of printing.

Archive Garamond has a rather unique, distinctive temperament which is even more emphasized with the preserved non-uniformity, such as irregular glyph shapes or a variable baseline.

Although Archive Garamond was clearly made to be used for display sizes it works surprisingly well in text.

A Professional version of the typeface contains all glyphs, including the advanced typographic forms, such as different sets of figures, small caps, swashes, historical forms, etc. The font also enables the full use of the OpenType features.

How to access alternate glyphs?

To access alternate glyphs in Adobe InDesign or Illustrator, choose Window Type & Tables Glyphs

In Photoshop, choose Window Glyphs. In the panel that opens, click the Show menu and choose Alternates for Selection. Double-click an alternate’s thumbnail to swap them out.

1546 Poliphile Font family (Two styles) was inspired from the French edition of “Hypnerotomachie de Poliphile” ( ” The Strife of Love in a Dream “)( Attributed to Francesco Colonna, 1467) printed in 1546 in Paris by Jacques Kerver.

He was using a Garamond set, including two styles: Normal and Italic (“Normal” carved by Claude Garamond, “Italic” we don’t know. It was an Italic pattern very often in use in Paris in these years).

We have thoughtlessly modified the slant angle of the Capitals used with Italics because the Normal capitals were used in both styles in the original.

The present font is containing scrupulously all of the specific Latin abbreviations and ligatures used in this edition (with a few differences between the two styles). Added are the accented characters and a few others not in use in this early period of printing.

1689 GLC Garamond Pro Font family was created inspired by a Garamond pattern set of fonts used for an edition of “Remarques critiques Surles oeuvres d’Horace” by “D.A.E.P.” published in Paris in 1689 by two different booksellers: Deny Thierry and Claude Barbin.

We can see some differences with our “pure” Garamond (look at our 1592 GLC Garamond), particularly in lower cases of the Normal style and upper cases of the Italic. Unfortunately, we don’t know the name of the punch cuter, no more than the printer’s one.

This complete set is containing small caps, fractions until 1999/1999, historical and standard ligatures, and all fleurons contained in the edition (Normal style only).

The alphabet is covering all Western, Eastern, and Central European languages (including Celtic diacritics) and Turkish.
